Hi, I appreciate you've probably read this a million times but what the hell

Basically I'm considering doing a C&G electrical course and am after general thoughts on whether this is a good trade to enter long term.

I've saved up enough money from my current job (just a crappy first supermarket job after leaving college) to pay for a course at either tradeskills4u or able. Is it likely to be a case of splash out 4k on the course, work my arse off to pass then find a million others have and there's not a chance in hell of getting mate work?

I love the idea of not sitting behind a screen all day as a job, working in different places and I'm always fixing/messing around with things so I'm pretty sure its a job I'd like to do...

I'm very much in two minds. Any thoughts would be great, thanks

personally speaking i would employ neither! but thats my opinion. the chap with no 2392 may not have bothered with that particular exam (unless he failed then different matter) i would ask questions deeper in to there knowledge...

ok then

2 sparks...! one has 2391 and 16th edition (but failed 17th refresher course) (took him 7 attempts to pass 2391)
other one has 17th and 2392 (passed first time)

both been in trade for 3 years

who do you employ...!

unless some body from an organisation comes out and says what the 2392 actually does and means, can you prove competence doing PIR, What about Industrial 3 phase?? i know little about it and got warned off it by a very good local C&G training establishment then i personally consider it worthless and just another course thrown in by Part P "training providers" as a qual you can achieve there and then as its GOLA exam...

i may be wrong but its just a 500quid worthless cert..! ok if you needed it to allow you to undertake the 2391 then ok.. but you dont..!
