Discuss Considering suing DECC in the Green Lounge (Access Only) area at ElectriciansForums.net

I was asked about this, but tbh I'd be hard pushed to say honestly that we lost money because of the illegal actions directly, being as we managed to bring all our work forward other than 1 big job, which we were able to half do, then finish once we got permission from the DNO in Feb. The most I could legitimately come up with was the overtime payments we made to our install teams for that period.

The op who is suing decc is probably suing cause they invested money in the venture as we all have not knowing that the goal posts will constantly be moving so we all could sue couldn't we

So we spoke to a director of a large uk solar company who are doing the above title thread he asked us to join them and not to be concerned about not having sufficient evidence there is around 13 company's now doing this and suppose the more there is the better, anyone else interested as I can get the details.

I'm more interested now after reviewing the figures for the last 4 months.

They do seem to have taken the industry back a year to 18 months in terms of the install rate, despite there being 4 x the number of installers.

I can also prove I wrote to them in the spring last year to ask them to make a 20% across the board cut to avoid a boom and bust scenario, and again in the summer asking them to give us as much notice as possible if they were going to make a cut earlier than April 1st, because the industry needed to be able to plan for it all properly.

We'd only just made the move to take on a warehouse, office and taken several staff off per job contracts and onto full time contracts when they announced the cut in the Autumn. I think we had as many inquiries in a month this time last year as we had in total for the last 4 months, and we're definitely ranking higher on google than we were then.
