hi
how often do you feel the final circuits within a site office ,canteen ,wc etc should be tested
the site electrics are 3mths and the supplies to the cabins are 12mths
i just want to confirm internals of cabins

Hi Mark,thats the time periods I follow.But as I was on site anyway,always did a quick visual in the site huts.The canteen and toilet blocks always seem to take quite a bit of abuse,not so much site offices.

As gaffer has said, I also try and have a visual inspection of the accessories/wiring particularly within the canteen, toilets, and drying rooms etc when I'm doing the 3 monthly inspection + test on the site power.

The offices are less likely to recieve the abuse as office staff aren't as big and hairy as the guys on site.

As for testing, there are no special requirements for the offices/welfare units however, the HSE state no more than 1 year for a full inspection + test OR whenever they are moved to another site.
