Hi guys

I have just been to a job today and my god it's bad !, they want to convert the garage into a room for there son to play with his band. To start there is led cable coming from there house to a shed that's terminated into an old board thats hanging of the wall, which has one 2.5mm cable with a socket (hanging of the wall.

anyway they then have a plug plugged into that socket with 2.5mm running out of the shed underground into the garage at the back which is about 25meters away !

And what does the customer say "well it works so if you could put a consumer unit on the end of that 2.5mm cable that would be great" umm no.

To the question i have told him to put swa cable in, however the consumer in the house is the same and he wont upgrade it, proberly because he knows i will condem the house !

i want to terminated this swa cable into another board, i was going to split the tails with a henley block and run another board, however does anyone know of a type of board i could use for this ?

Thanks Paul

Pics available upon request :D

How bigs the SWA , 3 core SWA id use a galve through box for the SWA then a stuffing gland with some twin and earth jointed in the through box ,so then you can get the T and E into the board
