Did an EICR and the consumer unit is located in an outside meter cabinet.

I know they are corrosion resistant but does this come under any code?

All circuits tested great and there is no sign of deteriation. Its a MEM3 1361 plastic CU.

The customer has also asked that he wants to have the CU changed. Now can I replace it in the exisitng position or do they need to me installed indoors.

Sorry I have never come across an outside CU before.

Thanks

So long as the cabinet it is housed in is suitable for the environment, and suitably IP rated, I do not see a problem with this.

The minimum recommended is IP33, but higher is better, the external enclosure should only be able to be accessable with the use of a tool or key
