hello it is my first post on the forum for electricians.
If a person whith no qualifications would like to change old consumer unit for new one he should notify to Bilding Control. Please , could you tell me how it look in practice. I presume that some inspector will come to check the changed instalation with a new consumer unit. And how much it cost the visit like that. Thank you for help.
Sorry for my grammar I am foreigner.

You will need to contact your LABC.

The costs vary from around £150-£200 but they will tell you how much.

Yes , I only wont to know how it looks in practice because I have just started learn about electricity and i have found that topic in Electrician's Guide. Thank you
