evening all
Ive done some searching but still need some help/diagram on the following

I've got to install 10 new communal emergency lights on a staircase control by a PIR and a contactor,with a override switch for the PIR and key switch for the emergencies.

any help appreicated

Something like this:

No Probs. Just to add to oldtimers sketch, the key switch for the e lights shouldn't be wired in parallel with the photocell and override switch. As this way all its doing is providing another way of energizing the coil, as opposed to providing a permanent feed to charge the e light battery :)
 
Remember location location and if all these devices wire back to a central area then thats where the junction box kicks in.
And yes both drawings are handy
 
right finally wired this today and all worked as it should. Another quick question tho.
I've got to connect another set of staircase lights to the contactor do i just link terminals 1 and 3 and take my feed to the lights from 4 or can i feed terminal 3 from a seperate mcb and take my feed to the lights from 4
