Can you run a contactor via a FCU spur from the circuit its switching?
Its for a lighting circuit that requires very ling switch wires.

reading the typo in the title, there is a subtle difference between a contactor and a contractor. one sits there doing nothing until an electric current jolts it into life, and the other one is used in control circuits.

Not forgetting the difference btween long and ling, one is a teacher at our local school and the other runs a chinese take away

Relays/contactors are used extensivly in hotels for switching heater circuits on and are generally wired in 1mm stranded for the very reason of VD sometimes in 12/24 V, some run hundreds of metres

Yes… as long as the initial radial circuit is designed properly regarding OCPD, cable size and rcd protection.
