What can one do if a contractor they subbed into won't pay?

He has been fobbing me off since mid January.

Speaking to other sparks, this seems to be his trade mark tactic.

How this guy hasn't had his big loaf cracked open yet I will never know!

I sent original invoice recorded signed for so I know it was received.

I am going to send a second invoice recorded aswell.

So, should I build a case for the small claims court at his expense or should I just go down and knee cap him?

The firm in question was an absolute CIRCUS and I sent word that I would be otherwise engaged.

Any guys any tips into hit him were it hurts? Maybe a phone call to NIC?

we had someone like this problems after problems caused by this firm during the job even suppliers now refuse to supply them not becuase of payments but becuase they dont know how to use common sense

we were due to be paid in the end of november we was paid last month for it.

we ended up threatening them with small claims at their cost but also added on surcharges every time the payment was late but they paid in the end

funnily enough they phoned up last week asking us do a job in london which would be a week away we politly told him where to shove it

Write a letter on headed note paper saying that you have xx number of days to pay your outstanding invoice or you'll be selling the debt onto a 3rd party as this is my policy for outstanding debts. Wife used to own a bridal shop and had a couple of brides who refused to pay, paid very quickly once she treatened to sell the problem on to debt collectors.
