Hi all

Wiring up a new cooker and hob. I have put a new 10mm supply in to the cooker switch and the 10mm down to a click dual outlet plate. Hob is rated at 7800 max and instructions state use a 4mm flex. Oven is prewired with 1.5mm flex(no plug). Will i need to go from the cooker outlet to a fused spur then to the oven to protect the 1.5mm cable as this wont be protected by the 32amp mcb?

Many thanks
Jon

What do you think happens in Europe where there are no fused plug tops and most socket circuits are protected by 20A MCB/RCBO's?? The oven has a fixed Max load that cannot have an overload condition. Connect the provided flex to the dual outlet plate!! ...If your that worried, replace the 1.5mm lead with a 4mm one, not that it'll make a halfpence of difference!! lol!!!
