Cooker diversity

Not a question as such, just a comment.
Customer has bought a rangemaster 17.4 KW. Has a 6mm feed about 12 metres from DB on a 32 amp breaker. I'm all for diversity but do think in the back of my mind sometimes that problems could occur...especially xmas day!!
Will install 10mm just to have piece of mind and 45a breaker.

It'll be fine. Cookers don't work like a kettle, they cycle. Someone thought about it before they wrote the diversity guidelines!

even with diversity though, we're talking 35A. 10mm on a 45A sounds the best solution.

10mm 45amp. . I would sleep better. OK bit more cost. and sounds like they like juicey things so would cover and alterations or upgrades in future. .....upgrades to what tho i dont know haha catering company premises maybe

I'd need to know a little more about what elements are incorporated in this mega cooker, my suspicions are, that much of that 17.5 KW cannot be used all at the same time. If only these cooker manufacturers would give accurate full load ratings, instead of connected load ratings everything would be so much clearer and easier, to design a correctly sized and protected circuit for any cooker unit(s)

yes and then they`l throw a party with all the things they baked in it on a great big table......just so everyone can admire it......by the way, i wonder if they own a "chicken brick" n all
