how do you check a cooker element ?
my cooker has stoped working lights come on but element doesent warm up ,any advice?? please.

You will need to test the resistance of the element. Elements usually open circuit when they fail, or sometimes short down to earth, which would trip an rcd, mcb or blow a fuse.
