When wiring a new cooker circuit to a kitchen down to the double pole 45a cooker isolation switch, then from the isolator too.........?

A. Hard wired cooker outlet plate?
B. Single socket?
C. No plate or socket... Just straight into the appliance?
D. Dual box with outlet plate AND single socket so you have covered both variations which ever the clients buys (gas or electric cooker)

Yep I get what he means,, KW rating.. Most (not all) standard domestic small cooker spaces would not require more than a 6mm...

Would pretty much always go for A, you can still wire in an FCU at a later date if you needed to.
That said I did C today in changing a cooker because that was what was there, was not worried about it.

I was lead to believe that c is not an option, and if said cooker was found for replacement, option A or a jb should be used.

About a fiver extra for the dual galv box and a single socket... So cost not a great problem... But electrically any problem?

spur from the cooker outlet is fine for ignition only and is part of cooker circuit - just a radial after all

edit
bs7671 shows a 4mm 32a radial with a 2.5mm spur, mcb providing short circ and 13a outlet for overload
