Cooker Outlet Regulations???

We are in the process of having a kitchen built at the moment but im not to sure on regulations about a cooker. I think i can remember that the cooker has to be 1 or 1.5 metres away from the actual cooker control unit? Am i correct in thinking this? Thanks.

It is that the cooker and / or hob have to be within 2 metres (horizontally) of the DP control switch.

yes you can have separate oven and hob from the same switch if cable is correct for demand.

see appendix 8.4 of on site guide - though the control switch can not be directly above the appliance.
