Hi iv been called out to look at an electric cooker because it keeps tripping could a dodgy element inside the cooker make this trip bearing in mind it's bout 6 years old n never had a problem

Yes... If your certain it's not the circuit it's self then it is very likely to be the elements.

I have had this happen a few times with cookers and washing machines
