do u need to be part p to wire a cooker in? cx has cooker that went wrong swapped over for new one replaced the 6mm cable from back of cooker to cooker outlet, but was pulled up by cx asking if i was part p as he works for dreaded trading standards as states must be part p to be doing cooker installs

aw you can tell is rubbish..... should of just held out but i didnt..

they say they will fix if i pay £100 call out fee but i know the part thats needed is £10, the thermal fuse on the back which has taken out the ignitor.clock and right hand oven...

If you look into it you actually have around a 7 year guarantee, it to stop companies using cheep parts and items failing after 12 months, just tell them that its not fit for the purpose it is intended for!

I had a part go on my dishwasher after 11 months, they came to fix it, but by the time the job was done it was out of it 12 months guarantee, visit to identify part, then 2 weeks for them to get it and another week for they came to fit it.

Then guess what 4 weeks later the same part went again, rang them back and they said it was out of guarantee, argued the point that it was the same part they had fixed previously and that the parts should have a guarantee on them and they finally agreed to fix it, but still took another 4 weeks.

£5 part and made sure i watched what he did, if it goes again i will fix it myself!

Ask curry's or Comet, if they send part p installers but then again they do try there hardest to get out of installing the items that people pay to have connected!
