Hi all
just sharing what I found today

got call out , my cookers stopped working, got there , took a look. test lamps on terminals at back of cooker switch showing theres power there but no circuit, should be easy fix once found
I look at the mains and the builder who did the kitchen got his mate to wire the cooker.
he had taken an single30A RCD unit and fed it in tails straight from the bottom of the cut out bypassing the meter and to top it off the double oven is fed in 2.5
she said when she was cooking the sunday dinner it used to trip ( no wonder cooker on full load almost) and if you waited a while it would reset
am back wiring new feed next week and will take photos of the no doubt melted neutral when I find it under the boards.
what a tool

Check the clearance between the back panel and/or terminal cover that you've removed. Look for small burn marks.
