Go on Youtube and search " Thou shall not steal Copper! " I found it by accident!

have you seen the picture where two guys tried bolt croppering it off a pylon and all there is left are there heads welded to the pylon and there shoes on the floor?...nasty

it`s beyond me why anyone would want to steal it off a live line. reminds me of the boiler thieves that ragged it off the wall and sparked a cig up before they left crazy.

Saw one from India I think when doing 2391, guy ranting a raving on top of an electric train, throws hands in air and touches the over head line............say no more..........

Our fella showed us that, right on the last day of our course. Remember standing on the train platform afterwards, staring into space thinking 'do I really want to be a spark...', and that sounds relitively tame compared to, what, peoples disembodied heads being stuck to HV cables? Ugh. I can watch horror films till the cows come home, but whenever I see something like this which is 'real', it affects me! I don't think we should have the right to watch somebody die for our own viewing pleasure.... even if they are theiving scum. No one deserves that.

ah well, you wont even be able to sell your offcuts of copper soon as there was so much thieving going on (that coupled with the nothing for free attitude of the Authorities relating to freebies i.e a little pound or two tax free, even though the tax and vat are already paid on the materials) so the Police have been visiting the scrappies and telling them something along the lines that if they do a check and see ANY cable or plumbing off cuts AT ALL, its the jail.......so they will just chase you from now on and will only buy from large corporations..not joe blogs unless you are giving your old car/van in for scrap, in which case they will ask YOU for money, they do that now...I can see scrap metal recycling bins coming in beside paper and bottle bins very soon where you are legally obliged to recycle but will have to put it in for free so that they can sell it....
