Cost of AMP ATR-150SL LV Transformer and module

Question, How much should someone be paying just for an AMP ATR-150SL LV Transformer with the dusk/dawn timer module? How much would/should labor add to that? Landscape contractor wants to replace FILs LV transformer with one as a replacement for his dead unit. Not familiar with the brand but since he's in his 80's now want to make sure he's not taken advantage of. Several contractors have, and/or have tried to take advantage of him based on his age and that he lives in a golfing community. Would appreciate your input. Thx!

think about £70 is the going rate. that's close to $100.

He finally told me he's getting charged $400! That is supposedly for the unit with timer module and replacing the remaining halogen bulbs with LEDs (6 maybe, they're 3 for $15). Where this all started, the old peg timer went out. He's at the point where he just wants things fixed damn the cost. Went to Home Depot to get him a better unit. Easy fix right? HD gave me a unit and said install this!, I did. Turned out it had a 120v output! Went back and got an LV unit as but never could halogens to come on. That's when he just called a company without getting estimates and said he wanted it fixed. No estimates, just get it working!
