Hi.

Could any body please tell me what this cable is in my loft.

It runs into next door and i cant for the life of me work out why it should.

We both have mains cables coming out the ground into the meter box on the front of the house.
So why would we need to be linked in any way?

From the postion where the cable enters the loft it is directly above my circuit box then runs full length on a loft on a beam through a cut out brick in the divide into there home.

Can anyone shed some light

I just dont see what there is to gain from finding out, if it was in your front room on show yes but its in loft, sorry to be blunt

However, if it's a power cable then there are a couple of scenarios, a. the next door neighbour is getting free electricity or b. the OP is getting free electricity. Also, properties sharing any electrical connection can generate very dangerous conditions such as isolated circuits still being live etc. Believe me this type of thing does happen.

In my opinion it looks a bit like pyro based on it being too big for coax IMO. Is the cable fairly flexible or a bit more stiff like microbore pipe?
