Hi

I'm looking at a roof which is counter battened which is causing me some confusion, so perhaps someone can help me out. Basically, if I put my roof hook above the horizontal batten, then it will sit on the lower vertical one and 'rock' as the batten isn't wide enough to support the hook properly. I probably wouldn't be able to screw properly through the batten into the rafter anyway as it is too thin and will split!

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks...The problem is you're sitting a hook on a one inch wide batten. Usually it sits on a 2-inch rafter. So thinking that it will not be stable enough.
