Course possibly cancelled, looking at other options

Hey all,
So was due to start my first year of level 3 electrical installing, and literally 10 minutes before my first day got a call saying the course is postponed until further notice as the teacher has quit!
This was at the start of september and now we are in october, spoke to the head of construction and was bluntly told its still going to be weeks at minimum....
So im am now looking for other routes into becoming an electrican, anybody have any advice or ideas or possibly apprenticeships in the east sussex area?

Apply at another college in your area or get a job doing something close to the field like a sparkles mate while you wait for the college to get a new tutor? I had to wait a year to get on my course as they wouldn't run it without sufficient demand. Now I'm in my 3rd year, one of the biggest 3rd year groups they've ever had apparently. Talk about peeks and troughs!
