Courses apart from Electrical

I know these courses that i am thinking about arent generally electrical, but due to being made redundant up in scotland and the fact that jobs prospects look non-existing, i am currently thinking about taking a year to 2 years out and study project management and going into estimator, quantity surveyor or around those sort of lines just seening if anyone has basic information about these through maybe past exprenice

If you're looking at that sort of time frame, HNC/HND would be a far more worthwhile qualification in an employers eyes.
