CPC outisde junction box

Why was it so popular to joint the CPC's outside junction box back in the day, answers on the back of a postcard please?

I guess they never made junction boxes with enough terminals.

Was common practice in them days......was taught to do it like that when I was an apprentice!

Yes it was quite common, most of the time they came out of the JB and just twisted them all together.

Yes was common practice, I was guilty of doing ,would rather use the terminals for extra S/L than cpc (whoops), will say college never promoted such practice's we had to use the terminal inside.

The fancier method is to have them all coming out 4 "corners" of the JB, then taken on top and tightly twisted to hold the lid on after the screw has been lost.

There is no requirement to enclose a cpc so why would you waste a potentially useful terminal on a cpc! :tongue3:
