cpc used as line conductor

Hi all,

Just did an inspection, a cowboy did the lighting wiring, in a 2 way switch wiring, he used cpc as line conductor, is this code 2 or code 4? i am thinking if this is code 2, the owner has to has the wall cheaseled and this could be a lot of money, cannot find reference anywhere....

Has to be Code 2, because at the very least it must be improved. It can't be left like that.

Hi

I would also code 1, it also means switch has no cpc which is requied at all points, if metal switch was fitted how could you earth it ???? As for cost of chasing wall to repair thats the price he pays for using cowboy in the first place, also money does not come it to where installation safety is at risk, i would disconnect circuit as being dangerous and let customer decide what is more important a safe installation or a dangerous installation
