Cranes and transformers

Hi all,

I was recently lucky enough to land a job that involves working on transformers and cranes as an electricians mate. As I have not done this kind of work before, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this kind of work and could offer any information, or links, about what it involves. I wish I could be more detailed, but that is all the info I have been given.

As you are an Electricians mate im sure you work colleague will answer any questions you need to know - there are too many types of crane and Tx's to mention here and thus not a lot we can help you with ..don't want to fill your head up with useless info if its not the area your ever going to work in.

Thanks dark wood. My employers know I'm fairly new to the field so hopefully it will go well. I've done some house bashing, so glad to try something different!

It turns out I miss heard, its transformers and temporary lighting and power. Fairly easy stuff.

Yeah, almost every construction site I have ever been on has had cranes installed before construction begins!
