Morning guys,

Does anybody know of anywhere to get a crb check done? Trying my luck with nursing homes and wanted
to get a enhanced crb check?

Thanks in advance

Tom

You cant pay for it yourself as far as i am aware. I had to do some volunteer work for a charity to get mine done, just putting up shelves and a bit of decorating luckily. Have you tried calling your local Citizens Advice for help?

I've just got off the phone with a company who said they can do it for for me for 50quid?? I've started as a sole trader for evening and weekend work and they said because I'm the 'boss' it's ok? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies so quickly guys

Hiya Mate,

That's sound like it could be true, being the boss and all.

However, I believe the cost for an ENHANCED CRB is more than that.

Also, do you really need the Enhanced version, please bear in mind unless you are working as a teacher, a Standard Disclosure should suffice.

Also, the enhanced crb could cause unneccessary stress, because even if you got a caution for whatever as a teenager, it will show up!

I am not suggesting that you do but just be aware.

Hope this helps!

Forgot to ask - which company are you contacting?
