Hi all,

Could somebody please tell/show me the wiring diagram for the following circuit:

1 switch for 2 lights, another switch for 2 other lights and both of these circuits controlled by a single switch that also switches on another single light.

The background is my fathers shop basement where he works as a watch repairer:
he has a work bench illuminated by 2 bulbs (1 switch); another area with 2 bulbs (1 switch) and near the top of the stairs he has a switch that currently switches a 5th bulb, the main light. He wants this switch to also turn off everything as he leaves the basement.

Is this possible? Thanks a lot.

Nick

Have a look at this . Is this what you want. I have double polled the Main switch so the whole installation is switched off.

If its 3 plate at the main light, and the loop ons go to feed the bench and the (other area) You could swap the loop on's from being on the permanent feed side to the switch wire side of the main light.
That would give you the combo you want without having to do any re wiring. You need to check the feeds are taken from the main light though.

Scott you know what I'm trying to say here can you simplify my waffle:D

Your welcome,if you use scots diagram don't forget this label :D:D:D:D;)

CAUTION
This installation has wiring colours to two versions of BS7671. Great care should be
taken before undertaking extension, alteration or repair that all conductors are

correctly identified.
