Hi all, I'm a handyman and not a qualified electrician, so am posting here for advice about a number of domestic slimline panel heaters that are a pain. I've come across four of these so far.
They have electronic timers and regulators/thermostats, and despite following the manual to the letter they cannot be reset or powered up. I decided to buy and fit replacement regulators, thinking they were faulty, but two of the four heaters still don't work. I therefore have to suspect the timers, but at £46 and £60 plus VAT for the two components respectively testing by replacing parts is an expensive exercise. The elements and overheat cutouts all test OK.
So my question is, do you guys know how to diagnose problems with these things, and if so, what's the best way? Creda tell me that they don't have access to circuit diagrams so cannot supply them.
Any help would be much appreciated.
