Does anybody know of a crimp set perhaps with interchangeable dies for insulated crimps e.g. ring crimps for say earth bonding and the larger crimps upto 16mm.

thanks in advance

Ok what crimp tool do you use? and upto what size can it deal with. so far i have only dealt with upto 10mm myself but want a more sturdy crimper as the set i have now are virtually gone its very intermitant it they provide a good secure crimp obviously if it doesnt i re-do them and take alot of pride in my connections. sad i know. but better safe than sorry.

Quite honestly anything over 10mm I use hydraulic crimpers (company owned greenlee's).

Personally I have seperate crimpers for; bootlace ferrules (both cable-craft & klippon), insulated crimps (Cable-man & RS), and Molex, Coax + a few others.

Yes I looked at them klauke ones. seem a very good product. can someone please explain abit about crimps and what is what.

e.g boot lace ferrules etc and what used for.

Bootlace crimps are for control cables or fine flex or tri rate cable. it keeps all the cores together and prevents cores being weakened by the screw in the terminal it reinforces them and gives a better contact point. Plus it looks like a factory finish:D
