hi every one just having a bit of a blonde moment ( no disrespect to blondes) but struggling to know the the formula of this question.

If a singular circular section conductor has a diameter of 2.256mm what is the cross section area.

I know its 4mm but confused as to what formula to use.

thanks in advance
