guys,

how much would you roughly charge to carry out a cu change + extras

6 existing circuits to test, Supply and install new tails, earth bonding to gas and water, new circuit to boiler about 15 metres away, new 6mm cooker circuit about 12 metres away, supply for extract off of kitchen circuit

just want to see if im expensive

many thanks

I would be a bit cheaper than MNMwill, but depends where you are in the country, and degree of difficulty getting your cables from A to B etc.

what would you charge then m8, just out of curiosity, not bin on my own long and still trying to get the hang of pricing things up??

While we are on the subject, wot kind of price would you put in for a new shower supply?

About 20m 10mm, new mcb, isolator, new extractor supply and fit?

Cheers

I think your estimate is about right and not over priced.

Shower prob £150 plus materials, but can depend on cable runs

I'm in Leeds the CU change would be around £550.

20M of 10mm will be about £65 plus labour depending on how long it takes to install

test and mark up existing circuits = 4 hours
install new circuits = 4 hours (assuming not too much chasing reqd)
remove old cu, fit new cu, tails and bonding = 4 hours
testing all circuits = 2 hours
getting supplies, sorting out gremlins, & tidying up = 2 hours

labour = 16 hours x £25/hr = £400
material costs = £200

you may want to charge a bit less for 2 days continuous labour, but £600 sounds about right.
And don't forget to be clean and tidy and charming so they will want to use you again :)
