Got a board to run an external lighting circuit to, however the board is between an outside wall and a combi boiler, 2 or 3 cm either side and positioned at the top of the wall in a kitchen.
Does the board have to be moved because of its proximity to the boiler?

Yes, Gas is far easier to ignite than Oil - gas leak get the hell out, oil leak - put a bowl underneath it.:)

I believe gas regs state something like the distance between a heating appliance and an electrical accessory is 150mm unless a barrier of non combustible material is between them.

Also on an PIR the statement "proximity of non electrical services and other influences" springs to mind
and I would definately note this on the form. 2-3cm is just too close IMO.

Yes the osg says 150 mm separation unless noncombustable material inbetween, its not ok that its the metal casing of the boiler and then the insulation of the cu is it?

Indeed, but if you take the wording literally then it does say between the boiler (case and all) and the accessory.

2-3 cm is just too close no matter what's between them.
