Hi, I am 3 weeks away from my Elecsa assesment and will be replacing my ageing wylex CU with a new dual RCD MK unit.

The meter tails are 16mm and will be too short for the new unit. I want to replace them with 25mm. (Main cut out is BS88 100a)

Do I call the supplier and get them to connect the tails on the day of change?

Does anyone have any easier or better suggestions.

Thanks

Griffin :)

how about a couple of days before pulling the fuse and installing a dbl pole isolating switch (electricity company isolator) and on te day replace everyting from there ?
hope this helps

We always make the new tails long enough to reach the meter but connect them to the existing smaller tails (in a henly's type block) and get the customer to contact the DNO to connect the new tails.. I had my ELECSA inspection with this setup and he had no problems with it.
Hope this helps.
