Hello.

I've just done a PIR on a domestic property, and on the cut-out fuse was the following;

100a 1. 3/16" DIA

Does anyone know what the BS number and type is for this 'size' cut-out?

I have seen a table on the web along time ago which had this information, but cant find it now.

If anyone can help me I would be very gratefull

P.S
Does anyone know the number for an old wylex main switch isolator on a BS3036 c/u?

The switch most likely is a BS 5419 most likely as the new ones are BS 60947-3.

Normally the 1361 is the cartridge fuse non lug and the BS 88 is the cartridge fuse with lugs.

I would say that way over 99% of domestic cartridge fuse are BS 1361 and have been since they replaced the old rewireable fuses. The BS 88 fuses were normally found in industrial or the larger commercial supplies. Only recently have i heard of them being used in the domestic sector....
