I know there are similar threads but i have found different readings on the voltage, i have not had much to do with these so just thought id check..

The actuator seems to of packed in, it doesnt move in any situation, athough its been working a couple years so it hasnt been wired up wrong. I will just be changing it over but the voltages i got seem odd and just wanted to know why..

CH-ON (only)
brown- 240v
Orange-240V
grey-240V

HW-ON (Only)
Brown- 240v
orange-240v
grey-0v

Both HW & CH ON

brown- 240v
orange- 240v
grey-30v

All off-

brown 0v
orange- 0v
grey- 240v

Does this seem right? I cant get my head around it! :s

According to Danfoss web

brown = heating on
orange = hot water on
grey =. Hot water sat

From your results it would seem that it is wired so you can't have the hot water or heating on the own

Thats strange as he says it has been working fine for last 3 years! Although someone had joined this actuator flex to the old flex via a choc block!

I have found out b searching that the original valve is a EDT2702 which is sunvic and the original valve would have been the SD2701, So should i be fitting the sunvic as thats what the valve would have been intended for? or is it ok to have a different actuator such as the Danfoss as a replacement?

I ask as he said he has replaced it 3 times in about 7 years.

Thanks

Can i just confirm..

the brown should be connected to the room stat live..
orange to the the hot water programmer live, and grey to the cyl stat?

The pump should be wired to the orange live?

I have an iPhone, so I can swap the actuators, that's good.

Surely if I just repeat the way it's wired it will work?

Sorry I'm struggling to get my head around the wiring as never really had experience with heating systems.
