Danfoss Randall 3060 replacement

Hi guys,

I'm in need of a little assistance if at all possible. My client is looking to replace her old randall 3060 programmer:

I was looking to swap it for a drayton lifestyle model, maybe a LP241. I just need a little help with the wiring as i have identified P.live (T6), Neutrals(T1+7). It's just the other 3 terminal. I looked at the Danfoss datasheet:

But there is an extra wire in T3 which isn't present in their diagram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there any voltage on terminal 3 when the heating or hot water is turned on or off? It may be a spare terminal that has no function and a spare core of one of the cables has been terminated there. Have you looked in the wiring center/thermostats to see where it goes?

Off the top of my head i seem to recall there was a voltage there when i rotated the timeclock. There was that wiring mess in the programmer and I haven't even looked in the wiring center yet!

Would I be right in saying that the Drayton LP241 should be fit for the job either way?

Well look in the wiring centre, and look at the whole system and establish what type of system it is, how it works and what you need from the programmer for it to work correctly.
Then you can select the correct programmer for the job.
You will need to test the conductors to establish what each one does as those old Randall's don't include any wiring diagram normally.

Well you need to find what it does. The LP241 can be set to gravity if you have this type of set up.
