gets to the job this morning and swaps the main dis board feeding all the flats above henley blocks etc and the new meters, things going ok, starts the fire alarm panel swap, fires it up all 4 zones in fault spends 2 hours messing about checking this that the other, batteries arrrgh! just got home and had a look on the internet and realised what i had done D'OH i have only put the capacitors/resistors the wrong way round this is after i have read through the instruction manual 17 times as well!! i have installed about 900 fire alarm panels in my life as well thats the worst part

Resistors are not polazised, to save you going back and having another bad day, what panel and smokes are you using..?

i had put resistors in the break glass/smokes and put capacitors in the sounders instead of other way round
