Day Rate for a Subby?

Hi all I've been charging £120 per day, £15p/h as a subby. ie I turn up with my hand tools and cordless drill, do what I'm asked to do and go home.

Is is this the going rate?

Some people reckon it's a bit cheap, but agencies are paying in the same price range, plus this way I'm not dealing with umbrella companies etc.

what do you guys charge?

Do you go for time and a half after 40 hours etc?

The subbies working with me at the minute are on £150 a day, get your rate upped! You can work a 4 day week with the difference, one thing I have noticed with subbies is that the standards vary massively, both in attitude and workmanship, but the pay is the same!!!

Here in the East Midlands, the typical rate is £14 or £15 / hour.
It is rare to see more than that advertised (apart from shift/weekends), but common to see rates of £12/hr being offered.
I do wonder if anyone ever applies for those.

£20.00 per hour here in Cornwall.. But agencies about £15.00
