Hi Guys,new poster here.

When swapping out old for new eg: old 3 phase DB do all circuits have to be tested to BS 7671 2008?

Basically any circuit you alter, you must bring up to and test to the current regs. So because you are altering the protection on the circuits you must check by testing that this will work and the circuits are up to current.

I change TP&N boards on a regular basis.

For test purposes it should be treated the same as a new installation.

If it's a rewireable with singles have fun tracing the neutrals and earths. I have yet to find one where they tie up with the respective fuse number.

Cheers Tony...............it`s for a job in a large Glasgow office block ,although we maintain the building we lost out on the price to renew........Blessing in disguise I say.................:D
