DC cable run, 4-core SWA to PV cable- how to join?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what's the best way of connecting 4mm 4-Core to single core double insulated PV cable whilst maintaining the integrity? Is there a junction box on the market (i cant find one) that enables you to do this as the DTi guide says the +ve and -ve string cable should be joined in a separate enclosure or separate parts of the same enclosure...
What are you guys using?

MC4 plugs and sockets. They can go straight onto the end of the swa as it is stranded. I believe they can be in the open air as that is what happens between panels.Then some self amalgamating tape to seal the end of the swa cable. Alternatively gland it off properly in an adaptable box and use crimps to join (or x2 adaptable boxes if you want separation between +ve and -ve.

Thanks Bruce. Yes, i've previously used MC4s inside an IP rated box, underneath a panel on the outside of the roof. This time i'm joining on the inside of the roof so not as much need for water tightness but i like the idea of the self amalgamating tape on the armoured. Or heat shrink tube i suppose. I'm just surprised there's no proprietary junction boxes for this purpose on the market, such as a PV combiner/fuse box without the fuses etc.

As I read it, it doesn't say you have to use seperate enclosures just suggests it or at least consider it. No different from any other situation though - how do you join 3 phase - you don't normally put in barriers or join in different enclosures!
