dc cable selection

Hi all

Any alternatives for the increase for Csa above the standard 6mm dc pv cable other than swa. Looking for alternatives as I've got some very long string runs 200m + and need to limit the dc volt drop and cable weight is going to prove an issue.

Rather than run all the strings back to the inverter can you use string connection boxes (maybe with string fuses if needed) more locally, so run just one (much) bigger cable?

Unfortunately not on this occasion guys, 250KWP system design on 14 string inverters with only one suitable location for them to go. We've budget for SWA and mounting etc but would be nice to find something else.

Did the DNO make you meter on HV side and buy your own transformer for 250kw ?

No we already have our own transformer on site and we've just crept in on the LV side. Thankfully
