Hi there had impact de walt drill for about 2 years now 18 volt use it for everything I can, question is it's starting to play up. When I press the trigger it takes a while to spin but does work fine when spinning , could this be the bushes or is time for a real drill my mate keeps on telling me. ( hilti mighty expensive) cheers in advance.

take it to your local repair centre and have them check it, as high tower says it prob not that bad

could also be carbon brushes. i had a 12v elu with that problem, cost £5

I had 3 lots of the 988 drill that screwfix are selling for half price, all had the same issue, noise motor after a bit of use. I changed to makita and is great. previously I had a Black and Decker which lasted me 6 years and was £80.
