Lets have a competition to guess who paid for this report. One thing is certain, PWC did not write it for free. This is more mis-information based on some spurious data. The Nazis came to power buy using mis-information. I am not saying those who wrote the report or use it for their own purposes are Nazis, but that misinformation is dangerous.

As an ex-employee of PwC I have to say that they do write such reports for 'free'. It is seen as part of their marketing spend. It is probably based on work that would have been done for internal use anyway so has a marginal cost of a few thousand £s in order to get into a format ready to publish.

Seems to be more of a points scoring exercise between parties more than anything else.

A figure of 21p after 12th of December is being mentioned

With your knowledge of PWC Perhaps you could comment on the timing of its release and how Greg Barker was using its contents before it was available. Also how the Mail had a copy early on and when asked for its detail, told the requester it was confidential.

The rough timing would be based on knowing that DECC were planning to conduct a review before the end of the year, as they had previously announced it.

PwC regularly work with government departments so could share information with them before publication. Reports are generally released to journalists early so that they have the chance to read and report on the contents but under an embargo to prevent wider release before a specific date.

That statement says it all. XX PLC has got their way [what else do you expect from current Govenment]...............
