just been to sink in some flush socket 25mm so chopped in 10mm leaving 15mm to be taken up by render and plaster "
plasterer comes in "they need chopping in more render and plaster will come out 10mm tops"
never had a problem with 15mm proud.
just want to gauge what the ave measurement you guys do and if any one know of any reason this is so thin other than the plasterer cuting down on the work

Being both a sparky and a plasterer I can see both sides.

Generally wet rendered and skim spec is 10mm base coat - 2-3mm first coat and 1-2mm finish coat. - so yes 15mm. However, if wall is not straight then some areas could be 10mm others 15-20mm. Also most spreaders always try and get away with 1 not 2 coats for speed.

But in truth, yes less depth and time taken = more money ;-)
