A circuit for a mig, at the point of use there is an fused isolator a 30A cartridge Bs88, at the DB is a 32A C RCBO the cables are in trunking and conduit will this meet the requirement for discrimination or am I misinterpreting 536.1 & 536.3

Will it discriminate? No I don't think it will, the question is does it matter if it doesn't? I don't think it does matter ( I take it this is a dedicated circuit).

I can't see the point in taking it away mate as long as its rated ok for the load. Additional point of isolation it will serve as.

Why does the owner want to remove the switch fuse> you will need local isolation surely

I want to bin it, (its an old ottermill about the size of a phone box) and replace it with a non fused iso , I think the old boy has some sort of sentimenal attachment to it, but as woz says its doing no harm as it is
