Hi fella`s, got my DI assessment Monday with NIC.

I`ve got my appointment letter and on there it states " It is important that you read the enclosed leaflet carefully and ensure all the items required for the assessment are available on the day" I can not find the leaflet, so can anybody tell me what items I might be missing from the following list or have I covered all bases?

1. Testers with up to date calibration cert.

2. Tools

3. Proof of public liability for £2,000,000

4. 17th Edition Regs cert

5. Myself :-)..........tea & biscuits

Oh yes, and OSG, BRB & GN3

Possibly BGB! (not yet)
Memorandum of guidance on EAWR 1989
Access to two sites
Guide to Part P Approved document
Possibly GS38
Full certification details for the two sites.
Knowledge of the regulations (BS7671, Part P, Parts A, C, F, L, M, EAWR, HSAWA)

For Elecsa I needed a health and safety policy, a complaints procedure and for Napit you need a waste disposal policy.
You also need to be able to provide a warranty for Part P work

I forgot, yes got Part P approved document, got memorandum of guidance on EAWR 1989 and access to two sites. As for the rest its a no! gonna have to hope for the best.

Thanks for your input

Remember they do want you to succeed because then they can take your money!
Elecsa provide a warranty scheme internally to meet that requirement so may be same for NICEIC.
So generally should be OK.

Good luck with it stay calm and remember what you know.

Are you saying you don't have BS7671 - BRB/BGB? Don't you have GS38 leads - How do you do safe isolation?

Hi richy, go back and read the thread again mate, when Richard mentioned "possibly GS38" i think he meant the documents.

I have got all the test equipment for safe isolation! the rest is in tthe thread

Sorry, its saturday and my brain is off today :)

I'm with the NICEIC - Approved Contractor and my inspector did want to see my lock-off devices, although agreed I did not have to use them during the assessment

Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine
