Hi Guys,
Sorry to keep doing this but I have heard different views on this subject, and at the mo its another grey area...
Example : You go to a domestic property to install 4 extra sockets + you decide to put a new 20amp radial circuit in, 1 spare way left in board (on rcd protected side) so you can put your breaker in there, the board is to the 16th edition (not all circs rcd protected etc etc).
The certification is a domestic installation completion cert for the complete D.B/property, so can you sign the cert off as it (the whole installation) is only to the 16th edition? or do you have to upgrade the whole board aswell to be able to sign the job off? I know you can put in the box as to what exent of the installation is covered by the cert but you are still carrying out the inspection/testing on all the other circs aswell?
If no PEB in place, as this got to be done whilst the work is being carried out?
I believe you can carry out the work and as long as your work is done to the current standards that's all what matters + also a must is to install PEB if not in place, just a quiery regarding signing off the cert if not all compliant?
Thanks guys, LEO.
