Once again, I have been leafing my way through nic books. You have to do something whilst having a pony!
And I found a conflict. In the Best Practice download, regarding coding for faults, 1 to 4, I remember that a code 1 must be given to an installation that does not have any main bonding. In the same publication it states that socket outlets without a cpc should be a code 2. I never felt at ease with this, to be honest. But thats what it says.
On the other hand, on pages 118 and 119 of the inspecting, testing and verification book it says the opposite.
Which do we believe?

This anomaly was raised with Tony Cable, NICEIC senior marketing and event engineer, at an ELEX Q&A session last year. He said the forthcoming reprint of the NICEIC book would reflect the advice given in the BPG. I understand since that discussion, it was decided by NICEIC to delay printing to incoporate the BS7671 Amendment 1, changes.
