Different types of wiring faults

Hi I’m just wondering if I’ve covered all types of wiring faults

Incorrect polarity
Short circuit
Fault to Earth
High resistance reading
Open circuit

Anyone think of anymore I’ve missed?

Low insulation resistance
Occasionally this may not be a fault- it can be caused by electronics such as that in USB sockets or these surge protection extensions.
This is why it is important to take these out of the system whilst testing.

Just to make it "real-world",how about if you have a fault,not listed...but intermittently...remember,it's not a job...it's an adventure

If it's a L to E fault of low resistance say, " Live to Earth fault of low resistance would be my guess, I guess it just a way of describing the nature of the fault.
